POC Cularis MIPS Helmet (Granite Grey Matte) (M)

POC Cularis MIPS Helmet Description:

The POC Cularis MIPS Helmet blends innovative safety features, durability, and ventilation in a remarkably lightweight package that will inspire confidence when tackling gnarly terrain. 15 oversized ventilation ports are strategically placed to draw cooling air over the rider’s head; even though this helmet appears to be wide open, variable thickness EPS foam, a lightweight polycarbonate shell, and an Aramid bridge combine to add significant structural support and will prevent impacts from reaching the riders head. Inside of this impressive shell is a MIPS Air Node system, a highly adjustable 360° adjustment system, adjustable straps, and a Fidlock® magnetic buckle combine to quickly adjust and secure the helmet for a comfortable fit and protect the head and neck from torsional forces. Last but not least, a RECCO® Reflector passive transponder is integrated into the helmet so if a rider unfortunately has an incident when exploring the backcountry, rescuers will be able to quickly locate them and get them to safety.

Features:

• Variable thickness EPS foam construction is thicker for added protection in key sections of the helmet while being thinner in less critical areas to minimize the helmets overall weight
• Lightweight polycarbonate shell is molded along with the foam for a seamless appearance and excellent durability
• Extended zones around the temples and back of the head for added impact protection
• Aramid bridges between the helmet liner and shell add structural stability and will prevent penetration of the interior cavity in the event of a crash
• Vent placement and shape optimized with the aid of computational fluid dynamics to provide incredible ventilation no matter the riders speed or climate conditions
• Breakaway peak (otherwise known as a visor) can be adjusted to optimize the protection and trail visibility, and will snap off in case of an incident to direct forces away from the riders head
• Integrated MIPS Air Node technology protects the brain from rotational impacts
• 360° adjustment system creates a comfortable and secure hold all of the way around the riders head
• Fidlock® magnetic buckle is very easy to secure the helmet with one hand
• Eyewear garage in front ventilation ports can securely stash sunglasses
• Integrated RECCO® Reflector, a passive transponder consisting of a durable diode and antenna, will allow rescuers to find a rider should an incident occur on the trail
