Built around Lake’s Competition Last these shoes provide outstanding foot and heel security but still have a generous amount of room in the toe box. A well-ventilated recycled leather upper with mesh inserts and abrasion resistant reinforcements in key areas also features an integrated tongue to hug the foot in a comfortable and secure embrace. Dual BOA Li2 Fit Systems are attached to that upper for quick and precise adjustments to the volume so a rider can dial in the comfort on-the-fly. The 100% carbon fiber outer sole features a grippy real rubber sole that provides confident traction in loose terrain, and toe studs can be screwed in if extra traction is needed. Last but certainly not least, that stiff sole has elongated cleat mounting holes that makes it easy to precisely locate clipless pedal cleats so the Lake Cycling MX239-X Gravel Shoes can deliver the comfort, durability, power transfer, and stability that the rider needs to have a fun day on the dirt.
