Lake Cycling CX178-X Road Shoes (White/Black) (Wide Width) (44) (Wide)

Lake Cycling CX178-X Road Shoes Description:

Lake Cycling CX178-X Road Shoes are a modern, high performance pair of cycling shoes with excellent ergonomics and comfort. Built around Lake’s Sport Comfort Last that features a broader toe box, these shoes support a more natural toe splay and gives more room for the forefoot so there is less of a chance of developing a hot spot while retaining very good stability and alignment over the pedals. A durable microfiber upper wraps the foot in a secure and well-ventilated embrace while complimenting the shape of the last by allowing the toes to expand naturally while pedaling. BOA L6 Fit Systems effortlessly change the fit and evenly distributes the tension throughout the length of the shoe. Finally, a stiff nylon composite sole is attached to the bottom of the shoe, and that sole features extra-long cleat mounting slots and several positioning markers so it is much easier to get the riders feet in a comfortable and powerful position over the pedals so they can achieve the best experience every time they hop on a bike.

Features:

• Durable, stretch-resistant microfiber upper features an anatomical shape that delivers a secure, high performance fit while allowing the forefoot and toes to naturally move around in the toe box
• Boa L6 Fit System allows for fast and very precise adjustments to the fit and distributes the pressure across more of the top of the foot to reduce discomfort
• 60K Force Nylon Composite outer sole construction is stiff enough to efficiently transfer the rider’s power to the pedals, and generously sized vent ports draw cooling air over the riders foot
• Sport Comfort Last has a broad toe box that promotes natural toe splay, improved alignment, and reduced pressure points while maintaining stability and security for very good pedaling efficiency
• Large rubber toe and heel pads provide traction when moving around off the bike or putting a foot down at a stop
• 9mm long cleat mounting holes offer more cleat position adjustability, and multiple positioning marks make it easier to precisely set up the cleats to achieve the optimal balance of comfort and power generation (cleats are sold separately)
• Wide width versions are 8.76mm, or roughly 1/3″, wider and with a bit more volume inside the shoe than the standard width CX178 Shoes
